Notes & Combos
With rod FINALLY free the old variation of dark magician is viable again!
That being said, this took FOREVER to get the 5 game streak for kog (failing the final boss 3 or so times) so I wouldnt recommend trying to kog with this variation early season as it would just be a nightmare. It's just a little too turn one dependant for todays age imo.
Key Notes:
- Kycoo is 100% a must, he's a great orcust counter summoned off of navigation and apparently great into alot of random other stuff too. (PK, World chalice, Speedroid, D/d/d just to name a few of the matchups I used him in)
- I personally prefer 2 dark magician with this skill, 3rd doesn't really come up and just increases the chance of the painful double Normal monster hands or hitting DMs off pots rather than more useful cards. (Remember the skill GUARANTEES a DM so you don't need to draw one for combo)
- If given a choice when searching between Navigation or Eternal Soul, take Navigation. 2 monsters summoned is greater than 1 and it also grants access to kycoo. The immunity is tempting but ES is just too weak into cosmic/mst.
- The knightmares + Imduk were the only extras I used during the run so don't stress if you don't own any of the extra as it doesn't really matter.
- The fusion is playable in this build if you want to for fun but personally found it didn't do much so I cut it early on. There was never any room to set the quick play with most end fields being Nav/Circle + ES/Compulse and you cannot summon him turn one due to the skill restriction.
