Notes & Combos

Something I forgot to mention during the KC Cup climb is that there were duels where I wished I had handtraps instead of a hand filled with Kaijus going first. It was the reason why it took me so long to finally decide on a decklist I felt comfortable with, since I initially felt like handtraps were just better, especially with FTKs going around.

At first, I wasn't going to do the last push to KoG, since it was a struggle to reach Legend 2 and 3. I just didn't want to go through all that trouble again. Then I was reflecting on my decklist after finishing the KC Cup and decided to make a test. For the KoG climb, I was going to use handtraps only without using Kaijus. I even remember liking Droplet a lot when I first made Therion because using it with Irregular was too good going second, so I added it as well. It was probably due to this being late in the season, but the climb was extremely smooth, even ended with a 14 winning streak from all the way in Legend 2 or 3, can't remember exactly.

I'll admit, I didn't play very properly at times, and sometimes my hand was beyond optimal. But having handtraps instead of Kaijus was so helpful, and allowed me to win regardless. And that result does worry me a little, especially in Droll's case. That card won me far more games than it should've.
