Honestly, I found Ring of Destruction to be quite good in this format because of how aggressive it is. I was trying out Warning Point, but I ended up not liking it because, while Warning Point is good for "stunning" one of your opponent's monsters, there's just far too many decks out there that will OTK you on the crackback once the effects of Warning Point have worn off, an example being that Blue-Eyes White Dragon. If you really don't have Ring of Destruction, then you can cut it for Warning Point or if you want hard removal like me, then Bottomless Trap Hole or Void Trap Hole are also acceptable options. Altergeists are just one of those decks where the first half of the deck consists of your main engine whereas the second half of the deck consists of your generic traps. Unfortunately, we didn't get any of the combo extenders with Altergeist Pookuery or any of the DUNE support like Malwisp or Revitalization so as of now, Altergeists are just a generic backrow control deck. Ring of Destruction isn't mandatory in the decklist and if you don't have it, just slot it in with whatever generic trap you have that actively disrupts your opponent from setting up a board. You could also try more copies of Paleozoic Canadia but in a meta dominated by Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Successor Soul makes Canadia kind of bad.

I believe BlairVVitchProject mentioned it below me, but you could also try The Transmigration Prophecy if you want maximum graveyard hate against those pesky Shiranui and Zombie players. The Transmigration Prophecy can also (sort of) hit Blue-Eyes as well by messing up their Ultimate Fusion graveyard targets so it's also a tech card that I may consider running based on how much graveyard-heavy decks I face. Overall, it's up to you based on what you have and what traps you want to run, but I will say with absolute certainty that to play Altergeists, Ring of Destruction is not a mandatory "must have" staple. I simply just value hard removal and play a more aggressive variant of Altergeists with very aggressive traps like Needle Ceiling, Ring of Destruction, and Debunk. I found slower traps like Canadia and Warning Point not as good but they can put in work sometimes depending on the matchup and how well you and your opponent opened. =)

Congrats, from one ‘Geist pilot to another! I totally forgot the Spellcaster skill also works with Kunq, so I’ve recently switched to that as well. Have you also tried Transmigration Prophecy in place of Debunk to shuffle back Spectralsword & Raye?

I have actually never tried The Transmigration Prophecy, but I can see the merit of it being worthwhile to run in a graveyard heavy meta. Not gonna lie though, when it comes to Sky Strikers, I kind of just accepted that matchup as being a lost cause because they just have everything to dismantle my entire board and sack me through it. Even in Master Duel, where I still play Altergeists, I haven't figured out a consistent way to beat Sky Strikers yet because it's just an inherently bad matchup for me. However, I can see the merit to running The Transmigration Prophecy, especially since Blue-Eyes White Dragon is as popular as it is since you can shuffle their stuff back to the deck when they trigger that Ultimate Fusion.

In terms of Debunk, I was merely just playtesting it so I have an answer into Red-Eyes Zombie Reborn because if they go first, that deck is basically solitaire and it's made even worse when they hard open Burial from a Different Dimension and use like 9 Mezuki procs turn one. I don't have an issue beating Red-Eyes Zombie Reborn going first since, if you disrupt Changshi or Uni-Zombie, their turn kind of just ends but going second it's harder, hence the tech card with Debunk.

As for Shiranui, I think it's a coinflip matchup since a quick effect Sunsaga pop can be devastating to your endboard, especially if they just erase all your backrow but at the same time, the argument to using The Transmigration Prophecy is also valid to rip Spectralsword out of rotation, basically setting the Shiranui player back a lot since they want Spectralsword either in the banished pile or in the graveyard. I'll test it out, I appreciate the suggestion. =)

Also, from one Altergeist player to another, can you do me a favor and start filling out the event surveys and ask Konami to add in more Altergeist support? We honestly deserve it, not gonna lie, especially considering how they botched Ghost Gal's event rerun and gave us basically nothing with no good cards with an unplayable skill (Quick Emulatelf). We at least deserved to get Altergeist Pookuery and with skills being able to search, set 3 pass, I don't see the argument on why Konami is so afraid of us making turn one Hexstia plays. Pookuery would also make Marionetter a lot more useful aside from it being a 1600 attack vanilla that searches Manifestation and does nothing else. Altergeist Memorygant would also help me rid untargetable threats like Lunalight Leo Dancer instead of being forced into anti-synergistic Ningirsu or Borreload Dragon plays. And in the end, a limit one Altergeist Protocol is also needed. I can't be too upset though because at least Master Duel got its DUNE support like two days ago with the release of Adminia, Malwisp, Peritrator, and Revitalization. Duel Links just needs to catch up with the Altergeist releases so hopefully we get something soon.

Lol I wrote in my deck notes what Sky Striker Ace Shizuku does in my deck. Basically, I never leave home without it because she's a cute waifu. But in all seriousness though, nah, Sky Striker Ace Shizuku literally does not do anything in my deck and I merely added her as kind of a joke card since I'm notorious for achieving high rank with basically a suboptimal Extra Deck just for the laughs. If you look at my previous Altergeist decklists that I've submitted, I believe I had one decklist where my Extra Deck consisted of Evil★Twin Ki-Sikil, Evil★Twin Lil-la, and Trickstar Holly Angel because I wanted them in my Extra Deck just to flex the alt arts when the Anniversary 2024 box came out.

Basically, Altergeists are one of those decks where you barely need your Extra Deck to play since the only Extra Deck play you'll ever be doing is that Altergeist Hexstia. Once you're in a position to make Hexstia, then you're probably in a pretty comfortable position to be winning the duel from there based on what your opponent has available on their turn when you pass back to them. For my Extra Deck, Primebanshee and Ningirsu weren't summoned once because Primebanshee is just a bad card in Duel Links (but great in Master Duel) and Ningirsu was only there to check Lunalight Leo Dancer, which I did not see once. Altergeist Kidolga is there for surprise OTK's when the opponent's boss monsters have been deal with and Hexstia is the main boss monster of the deck and the monster you'll be making frequently. Linkuriboh is your starter with Meluseek and Artemis is good for tossing SIlquitous in your graveyard if you hard opened it. And as I said, Shizuku was just there as a good luck charm so if you want a more "serious" decklist, you can cut it for a Knightmare Phoenix, Knightmare Unicorn, or a Security Dragon or something. I was just having a bit of fun with the new Shizuku card just for the memes.
