Notes & Combos
Been playing resonators for a while now and I think they're super underrated. I honestly don't think they have a single unwinnable matchup. They're solid into everything. A JACK of all trades if you will. The hardest part is playing into a board going 2nd, but since RDA can run so many powerful boardbreakers, it makes it more bearable.
Thoughts on my card choices:
-I would remove 2 Resonator Call and add 2 Red Familiar if I had them. It plays better into Droll if you just straight up use the skill instead of having to search it first via Soul Resonator.
-Backrow is very common this meta and Spiritualism is very good b/c of that. The opponent is forced to either use their backrow sub-optimally or have it returned to their hand and do nothing. Crushing against Centur-ion especially.
-Was torn between Enemy Controller and Book of Eclipse. I ending up going with E-con as it is better against link-based strategies that I found were more common (Snake-eyes, Vaalmonica). E-con is very good in this deck since you can use it to dodge interruption on your Soul Resonator, take an opponents monster, and use the skill to dump their monster.
-Trap eater was suprisingly clutch. I wasn't aware of this card, but since our skill can search ANY dragon/fiend tuner, we can use this as a potential boardbreaker. It was especially good against Bystial (Branded Beast) and Centur-ion (their monsters are treated as continuous traps). Best moment I had was 'eating' their Branded Beast and then tributing Trap Eater via E-con to steal their Mirrorjade. This forced them to banish their own Mirrorjade, essentially leaving them with no threats on board. I recommend watching the Bystial replay.
