Deck Building Tip: 28 Cards Recommended!

I recommend running 28 cards!

I previously ran 30 cards, but Galaxy Soldier is an unreliable standalone starter because it requires another LIGHT monster in your hand. (This is less of an issue if you run plenty of LIGHT hand traps.)

As a result, my previous 30-card build effectively had only 12 starters. I reduced the deck to 28 cards to improve the chances of opening with a starter.

Icejade Matchup Tips

Book of Eclipse and Spiritualism have been added!

Going second against an established Icejade board is extremely difficult, so I adjusted my staple cards. Forbidden Droplet is also an excellent counter to Icejade.

How to Play Around Icejade Erosion with Forbidden Droplet

Use the skill to add Galaxy Soldier and Photon Jumper, then Special Summon Soldier by sending Jumper from your hand to the GY. Use Jumper's GY effect to search Photon Stream of Destruction.

Activate Photon Stream to banish your opponent's Field Spell. If your opponent chains Icejade Erosion to negate Photon Stream's effect, chain Forbidden Droplet and send Photon Stream from your field to the GY as cost.

Since Photon Stream is no longer on the field, Icejade Erosion cannot negate its effect. Photon Stream then resolves successfully, banishing the Field Spell.
