Notes & Combos
Hello everyone. Welcome back to another one of my DLM entries. It's another Altergeist list from yours truly. Did anyone expect anything else from me? I want to start by saying it's been such a huge honor creating Altergeist content for everyone here and teaching people the ins and outs of the deck. It's my favorite deck and a deck I hold near and dear to my heart. I've been playing this deck since 2017 when they first came out in Circuit Break, so I'm 9 years experienced on Altergeists and counting! Let's get into the deck write-up.
So, from my previous January 2026 King of Games list, I made a few edits. First off, you will notice I cut Eldlich the Golden Lord. I cut him because he's just not good this format. Going minus 2 in my hand to rid Tachyon only to be met with Tachyon Transmigration didn't feel good to me, so Eldlich was rightfully cut for Jizukiru. I know what you're thinking. I am always very adamant about never playing Kaiju in Altergeists due to Multifaker's lock, but to be honest, it's fine. If you commit Jizukiru, you can't Multifaker, so just set up a good Hexstia board with three sets and survive off of that. You have insane resource generation and grind and if you survived, you can Multifaker again. Simply outgrind and win. Jizukiru single handedly farmed Tachyon this format, so don't sleep on Altergeists using it despite Multifaker's lock.
Next, I added three copies of Stygian Dirge and Mischief of the Gnomes. Welcome to 2024 format folks where Gnomes is once again a viable option. Stygian Dirge was more-so a rage addition to deal with Sharks (bad matchup). Altergeist has no way to answer monsters, so Sharks just overwhelm you too fast and one shot you with Abyss Supra Splash + Abyss Shark combo. God, Protocol, Adminia, and Malwisp need to get here already so I can deal with monsters easier. Maybe someday, but for now Stygian Dirge and Gnomes put in a ton of work.
Finally, TY-PHON is also a newer addition. Don't sleep on this guy. TY-PHON can let you find lethal through the Sphere Mode you gave to your opponent. Simply make Hexstia and summon your third Emulatelf, rank Hexstia up into TY-PHON, and swing for game. Easy!
And yeah that's the deck. This climb was ridiculously easy. I went 8/0 (losing to Sharks) then 9/0 straight into DL MAX; so technically I went 17/0 in total with this list. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them. I'll have a full YouTube video in the works of my climb, so drop a sub if you want.
Replays
As I said, I'll have a full video of my best duels on my YouTube channel, so drop sub if you want to watch. Without further ado, I'll give you guys the DL MAX duel where TY-PHON and Kunquery flash negate put in work vs Tachyon. This climb was easy and fun. Going 17/0 in total was a crazy feat this month. Shoutout to BlairVVitchProject and Timaeus222 for keeping me motivated on this run! Altergeist best deck!
