Notes & Combos

This Vampire deck is really fun! I reached Legend 5 with it last ranked season but didn't have enough time to reach KoG.

The skill catches everyone off-guard. Since Sucker can only tribute Zombie-type monsters they don't interrupt until it's too late and I take their monsters 😈

I'll explain my card choices below...

Main Deck

• Balerdroch didn't come up for me this streak but it has before.
• Duke can summon another Vamp (even another Duke) from GY when normal summoned and when special summoned it can force your opponent to mill a card which combos with the field spell to destroy a card. Using this with Sucker to tribute an opponent's monster creates massive advantage!
• D.D. Crow: good choice in this meta.
• Uni-Zombie/Samurai Skull to almost always send Retainer/Familiar to GY to start combos.
• I really like Mazera in this build. Saving monsters from destruction and SS is really good.
• Vamp is a searchable 2 tribute monster to get rid of two monsters with Sucker and suck up a third!
• Super Poly: the skill makes all monsters Zombie so this is another two monster removal.
• Desire to dump Retainer/Familiar and occasionally Duke.
• Domain allows a second normal summon i.e. tribute plays.
• IDP combos well with Sucker +1 draw effect.
• Awakening to summon Duke to trigger field spell or summon Retainer/Familiar for search. Plus monster effect also triggers Balerdroch!
• Takeover: plays field spell from deck and can SS Zombie from GY, very effective with Duke to destoy a card.

Extra Deck

• Dragonecro: for Super Poly (skill makes opponent's monsters Zombies)
• Clear Wing: Uni-Zombie synchro with Retainer.
• Borreload: easy to make link 4, can deal with problematic monsters.
• Linkuriboh: enables plays by using Familiar (can also SS from GY to tribute Familiar summoned by Awakening so it doesn't get destroyed).
• Sucker: the best cards of the deck - draw +1 from SS and can tribute opponent's monsters.
• Phoenix/Unicorn: generic staples.
