This KC Cup took place from September 6th until September 18th, with the second stage beginning on September 15th.
- The first stage of the KC Cup plays very similar to the ranked ladder.
- Reaching DLV MAX qualifies a player for stage 2 of the KC Cup.
- Gems, tickets, and gold are given to players for each DLV level.
- Your DLv. will begin at the following levels depending on your rank in Season 79 (August) of Ranked Duels:

- Duelists who reached King of Games in September 2022 are straight invited to the Stage 2.
Rewards:
The player achieving the spot of #1 Global after the rankings will receive a KCGT Main Tournament Championship 2022 Invitation, allowing them to compete in the online KCGT tournament.
Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championships 2022
- In light of the current global situation, the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2022 will not be held this year. Instead, Konami will be holding a large-scale online PvP event, "KC Grand Tournament 2022", consisting of a Preliminary Tournament and a Main Tournament lasting from May to August.
