Tier 1

TPC Comments

I believe Black Luster Soldier is Tier 1 alongside Tenyi due to its insane Skill, The Soul of Light and Darkness , and ability to consistently end on disruption (in the form of backrow). Coupled with the Magistus engine, BLS has the utility to go against any deck in the meta. Newer builds are opting to play less Loading... in favor of more back row to more consistently open with three. I expect this deck to continue to have a high presence in tournaments.

Black Luster Soldier is currently the deck with the most representation in tournaments. With space to include tech cards and no restrictions from the banlist, you can play cards Limited to 3 (and even Limited to 1).

Additionally, a Skill that provides consistency isn't surprising, leading to its rise to Tier 1.

In a match, while Loading... and, in certain scenarios, Sealed Tombs can pose a problem, there's always the possibility for BLS to draw its own tech cards, such as Loading... or the same backrow cards, to withstand that turn and make its plays on the following turn.

Black Luster Soldier moves to Tier 1. It's one of the most popular decks running around due to its simplicity and ability to break boards. Lists have few differences at the moment aside from some minor changes in techs, with some players opting for backrow removal while others focus on Loading... alongside defensive backrow like Loading... , Loading... and Loading... /Loading... .

In these weird times between the banlist and skill change announcements but before the actual implementation, Black Luster Soldier has become the deck to beat in my opinion. it has far greater representation than any other deck right now and the most powerful Skill that allows the deck to be very consistent while also filling over half the deck with useful techs for the meta.

In my opinion, Black Luster Soldier is the deck to beat of the format. Solid consistency, loads of space for tech cards, and a fairly straightforward gameplan make BLS a strong choice going into a tournament. The only real weaknesses of the deck are the somewhat awkward Turn 1s, and the fact that Loading... essentially reads “skip your turn”. Nonetheless, I don't see this deck going anywhere unless there’s a major meta shift.

I think Black Luster Soldier has become Tier 1 due to its ability to set backrow cards and search for follow-up. Not many decks can out BLS, and the Magistus engine is also really nice for the value it provides.

In my opinion, Black Luster Soldier is Tier 1 because it has Limit 3 access, ability to spam 3000 ATK beaters in 4000 LP format, and a ton of tournament presence
