A Word FromHello all, in light of the recent balance update, the Top Player Council will walk through the current Tier List decks and how the recent updates affected them. Tier List will be formally updated next week
This banlist can be divided into a few sections: the good hits, the bad hits, and the unexplainable hits.
Loading... to 0 obviously fits in the first one, as it was the one card that for sure had to go, now being banned in four different Yu-Gi-Oh! formats. Along with Mermaid, Loading... , Loading... , Loading... , Loading... and Loading... are hits targeting Orcust variants, some with more and some with less success. Then, in the category of the unexplainable hits, we have Loading... to one. Which I still haven't found a reason for.
Continuing along the lines of unexplainable hits, Loading... went to one. Sure, I guess Onomat will swap to Loading... , which quite a lot of people were already playing anyways. Speedroid also got away with Loading... to 2, which will be enough, surely.
As for the rest of the impactful changes, Loading... to 3 means Rokkets will be a valid choice for these months, as it lost basically nothing but one Limit 3 trap, and Loading... 's unlimit will bring Salacode to Rogue/Tier 3 status for a bit, before it eventually dies down as usual (Until it wins another KC Cup)
This banlist did a lot of stuff some of it was expected like the Loading... ban (which is banned in almost every other format) and then some other stuff was unexpected like Gouki being unnerfed after only a few months of being hit.
The banlist was focused on slowing down hybrid decks, maintaining the identity of the Pure decks, and increasing the consistency of older, less powerful decks.
Surprisingly good banlist by Konami as they correctly hit the best decks and got rid of the format's most problematic card: Loading... .

Yes, I know the Loading... nerf is a hit against Orcust and it's many variants, but it's not a hit that's gonna kill regular Orcust or anything like that because you still have your starter in Loading... , but you do lose access to Limit 3's. Even without Limit 3's though the deck is fine. For starter combos you can still use cards like Loading... (which also helps with survival), Loading... , Loading... , or even Loading... and Loading... to help you start off your plays. So regular Orcust will be fine
The Loading... ban affects all versions of Orcust. The hit was not as impactful for pure orcust versions, as they simply just switch to the Loading... version and new backrow instead of the Limit 3's they lost (if they want to keep Loading... as a starter, which will be much more important since cards like Loading... and Loading... are no longer available as starters). The various Orcust variants lost the concept of "Two-Monster Turbo", with some variants like Odd-Eyes and Onomat being hit more than others like Gandora.
