TPC Analysis on Balance Impact
, TPC Manager
A Word FromHello all, in light of the recent balance update, the Top Player Council will walk through the current Tier List decks and how the recent updates affected them.
At first glance, Salamangreat (now that they've adopted the Code Talker Engine} and Infernoids seem like the "banlist winners", losing only one copy of a main deck card compared to the rest of Top Decks (who lost 2+ Main Deck cards + Limit 3 Access).
Current Tier List
Tier 1
TPC Comments
As expected, with Loading... and Loading... going to 3, Mekk-Knight have to give up their Limit 3 backrow. Consistency wasn't hit all too much as they can just play a 20-card list instead (which was popular in KC Cup anyway). All that's left is to adapt the backrow staples, as Loading... , Loading... , and Loading... are all individually powerful and untouched by the banlist.
Tier 2
TPC Comments
Gouki is losing 1 Loading... , Loading... and all of the Limit 3 staples. While i still think it's a decent deck, I don't know if it will remain Tier 2 since its biggest issue pre-banlist was its consistency, now with only 3 Suprex and no Finishing Move this deck might go back to more defensive version.
Pure Salamangreat loses its two copies of Loading... which means that players will have to increase the amount of copies of Loading... and Loading... to achieve a similar consistency in accessing Loading... . Losing Lady Debug also makes it harder to make the Turn 1 Rank 4 setup if you miss on Foxy.
The Code Talker Variant loses only 1 Copy of Debug but was already maxing out on Mining so it will be a slight consistency hit.
On the other hand if Mekk-Knights and Gouki manage to hold on to their spot in the meta any and all Salamangreat versions will benefit strongly from the removal of Loading... from those decks.
