Tier 1

With the rise on Xyz-reliant decks, Borrel Link has received a bunch of good matchups in this meta. The deck's ability to make a monster that's unaffected by all Extra Deck monsters in Loading... puts in at a very good spot (since most decks would need to draw specific cards just to out Furious). Also, with Loading... being back in the meta, Furious' ability to once per turn pop any card has become way more valuable. Going second, the deck has the ability to summon Loading... to break through boards easily (the Skill still provides strong going-second ability without Levianeer), or even go into a grind game if it can't quickly OTK.

Star Seraph is pretty strong. Barian Battlemorph! The Barians' White Shield gives you a Rank 4 play without Normal Summoning while letting you play through an interruption going second. Duel Links has a wide variety of Rank 4 options like Loading... , the Creepy/Crawly Loading... , Loading... , etc. Once Star Seraph gets going by destroying cards with Loading... 's Xyz Effect and drawing a bunch of cards, the game is basically over (becoming very hard for the opponent to overcome).

The deck isn't really weak to handtraps or targeted negates, since Loading... creates a non-responsive window on-summon where Scepter's effects can resolve. Tech cards that do well against Star Seraph are hard removal like Loading... and Loading... .

The deck is a bit tech-reliant, as some cards are tricky to out like Borrel Link's boss monsters.

Star Seraph has proven itself to be one of the best decks of the new format and for good reason. The deck's ability to draw cards is unmatched and it can dig for its techs quite easily. Strong openings can draw up to three cards and potentially also handrip the opponent as well. The deck's Rank 4 access gives it tools to deal with almost any situation it could possibly face. Even mediocre hands still have one-card Rank 4s which isn't bad at all since you can also just throw down the techs would've bricked on anyway. Overall, Star Seraph is just a deck with very few weaknesses.

Star Seraph is just insane. Loading... gets extra utility here as the Limit 3 of choice, since Stealing a monster provides fodder for Barian Battlemorph! The Barians' White Shield and the remaining Trap can be popped with Loading... for free draws.

Barian Battlemorph! The Barians' White Shield has every hallmark of bad Skill design (like the original Tachyon Skill):

  1. Once per turn Skill
  2. Free Body every Turn
  3. Free interruption dodge every turn.
  4. Ability to draw into staples (like Loading...

The likelihood of Star Seraph being competitive with this kind of Skill was extremely high to begin with.

Still, other decks can play through it, like Sharks and Borrel Link, but thanks to the Skill, Star Seraph will always have the advantage in terms of resource generation and OTK potential.

Tier 2

TPC isn't fully set on what to do with Unchained, more Loading... decks in the meta is inherently bad for Unchained, but Unchained was generally able to find a way to play through Dweller. It also does well against decks that do well against Dweller, so it's a toss-up.
