Tier 1
norentinoSmaSma227The deck is now on stall gameplay with Loading... and Loading... . This is to not waste the skill on turn 1 and to draw your board breakers with Loading... and Loading... . It is the most consistent deck at winning tournaments, and it can adapt a lot since it can run a variety of techs.
There is not much to say about it. The deck has no turn 1, and in my opinion, as long as they can unrestricted normal summon (as you saw with Loading... ) and special summon everything, they will always find a toxic way to stall and kill you on turn 2. It feels like it exists just to keep us all on the verge of quitting this beautiful game.
Tier 2
norentinoSmaSma227Destiny HERO is feeling less strong as time goes on because Therion and Vaalmonica can always out Loading... . Plus, the deck cannot really go second into either of those two matchups without relying on handtraps. The rest of the format either has to draw the out or lose to Loading... , which is why a lot of decks fell off the tier list. However, since Destiny HERO lacks favorable matchups against Therion and Vaalmonica, it could drop even lower next week.
peris2Of course, untargetable cards and floodgates are annoying, but honestly, the deck isn't the main problem for me in this meta. At least the turn skip isn't popular, and the only thing people do with Loading... is dig for techs.
norentinoVaalmonica is the rising star of the meta. As it is being solved, it gets better and better. It has in-engine outs to the Destiny HERO untargetable board via their traps. While Therion can beat the endboard, it is still very tricky to do, and mistakes are highly punishable. We simply have a situation of Vaalmonica stocks going up, but like Wall Street, it is bound to crash when the new decks come around.
SmaSma227Vaalmonica is really strong. It is Loading... proof since it only ends on one monster. It also searches for Loading... and has an omni-negate, a non-targeting bounce, and the ability to pop one to three monsters with Loading... .
Going second, you have a lot of options for board breakers like Loading... , Loading... , Loading... , and Loading... . I wouldn't be surprised if it goes up to Tier 1 in the coming weeks.
The Vaalmonica deck needed some time to adjust since it is not easy to pilot. Here, you can decide if you want to enter the Loading... slop clan or actually interact with your opponent and play techs like Loading... and Loading... . That is the version I prefer because having the normal summon can be important. What makes it strong right now is that it has a very formidable board with just one monster on the field, three backrow, and maybe a Loading... in hand (depending on the version). Overall, the deck seems to give us back some hope and provides Traptrix players with a competitive trap deck alternative.
