We are currently in one of the most diverse metas of all time, with over 10 different decks being viable and consistently topping tournaments. Because of this, it‘s difficult to make an accurate Tier List so early, as the meta needs time to adapt to the new threats and settle. It remains to be seen which deck will come out on top in this new environment.

Let's clear up one thing first: being able to detemine the best decks right now is virtually impossible. We received a ton of new deecks with Top Tier potential, those decks are still being figured out, and the matchup tables are far from solved (espcially with the new decks). Early tournament results might be an indicator of the potentially good decks, but the easier-to-pilot decks will always find early prominence. As such, take this Tier List with a gigantic grain of salt, since things are almost guaranteed to change in the upcoming weeks. The amount of new decks introduced to an already diverse metagame has lead to a metagame where a a large pool of decks are viable (yet we've agreed that Shaddoll still sits on top, since it boasts so many positive matchups against the field).

Tier 1

Shaddoll is going to have some issues against some of the new decks, as a lot of them are able to play under Loading... (either through multiple Normal Summons or the single Special Summon being incredibly impactful). They also have to deal with more non-targeting removal (which is annoying for Shaddoll to respond to) or have the ability to make Loading... (which is always annoying). The deck also lost access to Loading... , but that isn't too big of a deal. Out of the new decks, Blue-Eyes and Shinobird seem to be the hardest matchup to go first into, since theyre able to OTK the conventional Shaddoll Setup. However, Shinobird struggles with Loading... and Loading... and Blue-Eyes doesn't want to go first into Shaddoll (and still needs to find a way to OTK over Winda after using Loading... to force the backrow). For these reasons, I think Shaddoll is still the deck to beat after the new BOX.

Tier 2

TPC Comments

Blue-Eyes received a ton of support, including Master of Blue-Eyes which searches Blue-Eyes cards and sets an activateable Spell/Trap (noteably Loading... which can destroy cards without targeting). The deck also received Loading... (summonable with the GY effect of Majesty of the White Dragons) which is an untargetable and indestructible tool that can change battle positions of everything and deal a ton of damage. In addition Loading... adds more consistency through its ability to Summon Loading... and search Blus-Eyes Cards. On top of all that, Blue-Eyes is offered resiliency and longevity through Loading... and Loading... , which have blanket protection alongside repeatable utilty.
