Tier 1
TPC Comments
The standard first-turn combo for Speedroid is making Loading... with three sets (making sure you don't use the third part of Crystal Clear Wing Acceleration for follow-up on the next turn). Going second, the Skill guaraantees Loading... and five Synchro Monsters in the GY (if your opponent controls a monster). Some players are playing more Techs/Board Breakers (Loading... being the notable example) over engine to deal with the opponent's set-up before comitting (just like Salamangreat did in the past).
Since Speedroid no longer has to worry about Loading... , it doesn't have a bad matchup to worry about, now touting only coinflip-to-favored matchups across the board. While Loading... is still around, Speedroid can go for Loading... and two Loading... to play around it, making the deck even better. As a result, the banlist hits to Shaddoll have pushed Speedroid to become the new best deck in the format.
Speedroid has moved up to the Tier 1 spot, as its dynamic with the previous Tier 1 Deck has changed, Previously, Shaddoll would be able to play into Speedroid much more comfortably since the additional copies of Loading... provided a grind game even if it couldn't out the boss monster. Now that it's Limited to 1, the grind game becomes much more difficult to execute, turning the matchup into more of a coin-flip. Speedroid also has the benefit of playing a lot of techs, allowing it to "draw the out" against decks like Utopia much more consistently, allowing to actually win going second. This puts every deck that wants to beat Speedroid in a position where it also needs a plan to deal with the more consistently-drawn techs and not just the main engine.
The nerf to Shaddoll boosts SPeedroid considerably, as they are now a heavy-tech deck that can deal with both Shaddoll and Utopia. Moreover, cards like Loading... are now playable, allowing the deck to deal with many boards. The follow-up and card advantage that Crystal Clear Wing Acceleration provides allows Speedroid to end the Duel quickly while establishing a good endboard in case they survive.
Speedroid gained a lot of strength with the nerf to Shaddoll. Crystal Clear Wing Acceleration makes the deck practivally unbrickable Turn 2, and techs like Loading... are very strong against Utopia and the mirror.
Speedroid is one of the few decks in the current meta that can afford to run a lot of non-engine cards, which is one of its main strengths. This is especially important against Utopia, since almost no deck right now can break Utopia's Turn 1 board and put themselves in a winning position using just their engine alone.
