Konami have officially announced the addition of Crystals to Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, from September 10th 2025. This is a new currency which will replace directly purchasing items such as Card Packs, Accessories etc with money.

In order to improve the services and functionality of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, changes will be made to the purchase method. Instead of charging players to purchase items, this change will have players purchase in-game currency "Crystals" that can then be used to purchase items. Items already purchased can still be used after the purchase method has been changed.

After: Players purchase "Crystals", then use these to purchase items

Scheduled date for update: From September 10th

Regarding "Crystals": Crystals are an item you can purchase with money. They are used to purchase Card Packs, Structure Decks, Accessories, etc. From now on, players will be able to purchase in-game items and services by using "Crystals" they have purchased.

Regarding "Gems": Even after the purchase method has been changed, you can still receive Gems as rewards for events and campaigns and use them to purchase items. *Gem Purchase Menu content in the Shop will not change.

Item Pricing: Please note that prices may differ depending on the type of item purchased, Crystal Menu, or currency used when compared to the former purchase method when players were charged to purchase items. *Select items may have menu content (number of Packs, purchase bonuses, and more) that is subject to change.
