Overview

You might be wondering how to start your Cross Duel Adventure. We're going to run down the best ways to get started without relying on Super Rares and Ultra Rares (which are usually hard to get).

Step 1: Pick an Ace Monster

While there are some incredibly strong strategies in Cross Duel (a lot of which are still being figured out), like Loading... with Snipe and Loading... with Healer, one might need more than a few Super Rare cards (of which there are 48 in the game, and given the rates, most players would only have 4 or 5 random SRs early on). If you want to have a decent strategy, some kind of "Beatdown" Deck is easy to build, given that there are a lot of easy to obtain Level 4 monsters at low rarities. As such we would recommend something like Loading... or Loading... as your first Ace Monster. These monsters are easy to summon (only requiring 2 Level 4 Tributes) and have the Largest ATK and beneficial abilities. Picking one of these two will get you off to a good start!

Step 2: Acquire Gems!

In order to use the Gachas, you need to grab some Gems. Here are some quick ways to gain as many gems as possible early on!

  • Log-In Every Day at 01:00am EST or later to receive daily gems!
  • Complete Missions, especially Daily Missions that reset at 01:00 AM EST
  • Complete Challenge Duels: These are tutorials you can access via the menu on the Top Right of the Screen
  • Level-Up Tag Partners! Each Tag Partner gives you 50 Gems at Trust Level 2, which is super easy to get! Switch Tag Partners in the Tag Duels Menu.
  • Complete Tag Duels: Completing Tag Duels not only gives you gems the first time you clear, but also lets you unlock more Tag Partners.

Step 3: Free to Play Deck

The Following "Beatdown" Deck uses No SRs or URs (Aside from the Ace Monster), so you can feasibly build it either from the Rares and Normals you pull from the Gacha buy from the Shop with extra Copies of cards you pull from the Gacha. We have also listed Skills you can give your monsters a little boost to compete with other decks!

  • Blue-Eyes White Dragon

  • Vorse Raider (ATK Boost)

  • X-Head Cannon (ATK Debuff)

  • Mad Archfiend (ATK Boost)

  • Gogogo Golem (ATK Boost)

  • Performapal Silver Claw (ATK Support)

  • RAM Clouder (ATK Boost)

  • Milla the Temporal Magician (ATK Boost)

  • Elemental HERO Sparkman (ATK Buff)

  • Zubaba Knight (Focus)

  • Y-Dragon Head (Superspeed)

  • Z-Metal Tank (Superspeed)

  • Canon the Melodious Diva (ATK Boost)

  • Draconnet (Focus)

  • Scroll of Bewitchment

  • Shield & Sword

  • Rightful Magic

  • Rush Recklessly

  • Block Attack

  • Compulsory Escape Device

Notes
  • Z-Metal Tank and Y-Dragon Head have Superspeed, allowing you to grab the card at the middle before other monsters. Rush Recklessly can also grant superspeed to other Monsters.
  • Scroll of Bewitchment can make it so a Level 4 or lower monster can no longer Damage you by attacking directly.
  • Compulsory Escape Device and Block Attack are strong ways to set the opponents back.
  • Rightful Magic and Shield & Sword Allow you to win trades with other monsters, pay attention to the board state!
  • The general strategy is to use your efficiently-statted creatures to push in damage and hopefully end the game quickly.
