Introduction and Summary
Hello! This is 闇Mic. Welcome to May's Gem Count.
I've included every Gem that could be earned last month, from events and campaigns to login bonuses, along with totals for UR and SR Dream Tickets and Box Chips. As always, I've compared the available gem pool against the content released during the month and calculated the resulting amount you would need to spend in real money just to keep up with current releases at the often-necessary three copies of each UR card.
The new Duel Domination event frustrated many players by placing progression behind a pay-walled time-gate. However, patient players were still able to obtain all available rewards at no extra cost. Combined with the Alt Style releases, the event provided roughly the same number of gems as a new character unlock event.
While the gap between Gems earned and Gems required to remain reasonably competitive was not as severe in May as it was in April (which set a new all-time high), Duel Links continues to leave players facing a substantial deficit.
On a positive note, players with Duelist Point had access to six Dream Tickets this month.
