About the Autor

Hello there orchestra enthusiasts! You can call me

. Today we are having a melodic trip through the Orcust archetype, being my second pick back in YGOPRO Percy days, and my pet deck in Master Duel, I'm now excited to play Orcust again in a new format and show everyone what it is capable of.

Overview

The "Orcust", known as "Orphegel" (オルフェゴール Orufegōru) in Japan, is an archetype of DARK Machine monsters based around orchestral instruments.

The main focus of the deck is both the graveyard (GY) and the banish zone, Main Deck monsters banish themselves from the GY to provide advantage by summoning another monster on the field or sending another one from the deck to the GY. Keep in mind that after using any of these main deck Orcust, you will be locked into only sumonning DARK-type monsters.

Extra Deck monters like to take the banished Machine-type monsters out from the banish zone and also gain other benefit in one way or other, this is pretty helpful to get the main deck ones in rotation.

Now, before going into the card ratios, I want to clarify I will be recommending the ratios for Loading... build but I'll also leave an Loading... build if you are interested, even if I think the Mermaid one is better right now.

Still banned in the TCG (but unlimited in both OCG and MD), Loading... is probably the best card from the main deck because it gets you any other Orcust Monster from the deck into the field. I recommend playing 2 but you can be fine with just one. However, you might not want to play more than 2 in the Loading... build, since you can get it from the deck anyways. But if you really want to play Loading... , then you can use 3 of these plus additional copies of Loading... .

This card is completely amazing, it sends any DARK Machine to the GY in order to boost a monster on the field by the sent monster's level x100 until the end of that turn. The main use of the effect is actually sending a DARK Machine monster from your deck to the GY, but that attack bonus can come in handy when played correctly. This is usually a 2 of, since you want to guarantee having at least one in the deck for Mermaid, in Babel builds you can choose to play even 1, 2 is also ok in it.
