Introduction

Sacred Beasts is an archetype revolving around Loading... , Loading... , and Loading... . These big beatsticks do not have very powerful effects on their own, but become quite dangerous when combined with Loading... , which can be added to your deck via Yubel's skill Devoured By Sacred Beasts . The basic strategy involves trying to set up your field with a sacred beast and Loading... , and then creating an overwhelming advantage on the board before your Loading... gets banished by Devoured By Sacred Beasts at the end of your second turn after you activated the skill.

Since the core of the deck is relatively small, Sacred Beasts can adjust its tech cards to accommodate different metas and playstyles. However, it is fair to say that the deck leans towards an aggressive style of play because the drawback of Devoured By Sacred Beasts means that Loading... will be banished at the end of your second turn after you play it (barring very unusual circumstances), leaving you at a disadvantage in the grind game since your boss monsters have no in-built protection and do not float when removed from the field. But with a sufficient board advantage obtained in the early game, you can close out games with your big beatsticks and backrow disruption, even if you do not get the kill before Loading... leaves the field.

Core Cards

Boss Monsters

Raviel, Lord of Phantasms

Raviel is the go-to sacred beast to put on the board turn 1 against most decks. With 4000 ATK / 4000 DEF, you rarely have to worry about being beaten over, as you sometimes do with Loading... . In addition, Raviel’s effect of summoning tokens provides extra security to the board and can be used for disruption during your opponent’s turn with cards that require a monster tribute, such as Loading... and Loading... . If the tokens survive to your follow-up turn, you can use them to help sack your opponent’s board or as a tribute for Loading... .

Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder
Hamon’s effect does 1000 burn damage when destroying a monster by battle, making Hamon a good choice when going for lethal damage. In conjunction with cards that change monster’s battle positions or raise / lower ATK points, such as Loading... , Loading... , and Loading... , Hamon can enable OTKs on unsuspecting opponents. Hamon also is good for closing out games when your opponent has low LP.
Uria, Lord of Searing Flames
Uria has an effect that destroys backrow cards without letting your opponent activate them in response. This forces your opponent to use their backrow preemptively or risk getting their backrow popped. This is very useful when your opponent does not have anything to activate preemptively, although with the prevalence of cards like Loading... this is somewhat unlikely. Uria has two more drawbacks. One is a DEF stat of 0, which renders it very vulnerable to flipping / position changing cards like Loading... , Loading... , Loading... and Loading... . The other drawback is that Uria’s ATK boost depends on an effect which renders it vulnerable to being beaten over if your opponent has monster negation, such as Loading...
