In case you missed it, This Week's Meta Weekly was the first of our two KC Cup format Meta Weeklies, and was an impressive showing for Karakuri, with them being the second-most represented deck in Top Cut, even taking 2 Spots in Top 4. However, both Karakuri's were slain by wowerer's Witchcrafters, earning him his second Meta Weekly win this season! You can catch our previous interview with wowerer here.

How does it feel to win your second Meta Weekly?
It was super cool. My new clan supporting me really motivated me to keep going.
How did the day go for you? Any memorable matchups?
The match against Negative1 definitely was the highlight. We both knew the winner of that match would end up taking it home. I was doing super well all day - no severe bricks except for one match. Maybe I drew Loading... too many times but I ain't complaining about that.
Why did you go with Witchcrafter this Meta Weekly?
I feel Witchcrafters are the strongest deck and they got a lot better without Side Decking. I have been running Witchcrafter the last few Meta Weeklies and always got at least Top 16 so it was only a matter of time until my lolis would win. One example where no Side Deck makes it easier for Witchcrafter is when your opponent has no backrow and you know they can't play Loading... you can be more aggressive by milling another Spell instead of Loading... with Loading... for example
With the MCS coming up and the KC Cup right after, what do you expect to be the best deck, and how do you think the meta will adapt?
I expect quite a few more Karakuris, and thus more Blackwings which have a 50% matchup against Witchcrafter and are good vs Karakuri. I think Witchcrafter will win the MCS and Karakuri get 2nd Place
