Overview
Meta Championship Series 32 has concluded! Since the last MCS, we've had a brand new Main BOX, introducing a couple new decks into the meta. Unfortunately this wasn't enough to massively warp the metagame, exemplified by the classic Elementsaber vs Dark Magician matchup in the Finals, where we had a Top Player Showdown between Grucius and Autumn Leaf. After the dust settled, Grucius' Elementsabers pulled through, making him one of the few two-time Meta Championship Series winners. Grucius is also the 2nd highest ranking player on DLM, with several Tournament and KC Cup achievements.
Interview with Grucius
Anything you want to tell us about yourself?
Hi my name is Grucius. I am from Italy and I am a member of B&P. I have been playing Duel Links since the game's release.
How does it feel to be one of the few two-time MCS winners?
It was really unexpected to win another MCS After I won MCS XXX. I am both happy and surprised.
What do you think about this meta?
I think meta right now Is diverse, but it's been the same for too long.
Anything you'd like to say about your Decklist?
So my build was made to mainly counter Shiranui, Cyber Dragon, and HEROs. I decided to only play 21 cards to have a better chance at drawing Side Deck cards or Loading... vs Dark Magician to make that matchup better.
A couple things of note about my build would be Loading... and Loading... . I played them to have a Main Deck counter to Loading... . Divine Wrath on Lancea was really important, and Prophecy to shuffle back Loading... s after multiple Lanceas or Elementsabers to keep using their on-field effects. It also stops opponent's plays.
What changes, balance or otherwise, would you make to Duel Links?
I would like to see a new banlist, a new relevant box, and new competitive events.
Lastly, do you have any Shoutouts you would like to make?
Shoutouts to all of B&P and to everyone who was rooting for me! Thanks everyone!
