A lot has happened this season of Clan Wars, a lot of New Clans, old ones coming back and more! And as we are now going for Playoffs of Clan Wars we wanted to take some time to talk with one of the clans that are going to Quarterfinals. So, without futher ado, let's get started with our interview!
Interview with Shadow Games Links
You are a returning Clan to Clan Wars, what are you thoughts on this Season so far?
This is our 3rd participation in CW and the first time we get so far. Competition has risen up comparing to last season, but so have we! This season has had its highs and lows, but we're pretty proud of our achievements overall.
Anything you would like to share about your Clan?
We've always been an Italian-only clan, until now: this season we decided to get a bit more international, and recruited a couple foreign players. Also, we updated our clan description to reflect that ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) We would like to share that spaghetti with meatballs is not, in fact, an Italian dish.
What do you think about this meta? How did it influence your decks choice during the wars?
Things have been pretty stale lately, we've been waiting a long time for a breath of fresh air... this meta is balanced, but it's honestly getting a bit boring. Each week we playtest between us and decide what to bring accordingly.
How was your previous matches against other Clans you faced?
Every match we've been a part of has been very intense: victory or defeat was often tied to the result of a single game, and both times we lost the 1st round with a crushing 0-5 defeat we managed to make a comeback. Our biggest regret as not being able to sit in X-Factors' throne due to a misplay, but we plan to make up for it by winning it all.
How was your first week of Playoffs?
Heart-pounding, as always. We managed to steal a clutch victory in the first round due to very precise play from our part, then enjoyed our matchup advantage in the third one.
Any comment from your best player so far DarkRagno?
I joined Shadow Games Links last season, around the same time I started playing Duel Links competitively: I've grown a great deal since then and my clan did as well, as a whole. I'm very happy to be here, I know we've been working hard to reach the top 8 and we'll do our best to keep winning.
How you feel going to Quarterfinals?
We feel thrilled, and honestly hope this will be our time to shine.
