How does it feel to win this Meta Weekly?

It feels great! In the past, I lost in the finals a bunch of times, so finally winning one makes it even more special.

Why did you go with Thunder Dragons this Weekly?

I went with Thunder Dragons since it is naturally a strong deck that can keep up with the likes of Onomats. Another thing the deck offers is the fact that duels don't usually end too quick. In a lot of match ups, the game ends up in a grind game which I personally enjoy. Since this was a no-Side event, bringing Thunder Dragons meant that you don’t have to deal with annoying floodgate cards such as Loading... or Loading... . Cards like this have been troubling Thunder Dragons in a Side Deck format.

How did the day go for you? Any notable matchups?

This morning, I was released from the hospital and was finally able to go home. Doing well in a tournament the very same day is more than I could possibly ask for. One of the toughest match up was in Swiss against Cyber Dragons. I didn’t play optimally which cost me the set in the end. After that, I was trying hard to make up for it and to avoid mistakes like that from happening again. Another rough match was in Top 8 against Onomats, where the first game went over 20 turns.

Would you like to explain any of your Deck choices?

I have been using this Thunder Dragon list for a while and it’s been working for me, so I wouldn't consider changing it up. However, I do think the flex spots for this deck are the 2 Loading... and the Loading... . Cards such as Loading... , Loading... or Loading... are great cards to use in a Thunder Dragon deck as well. It all depends on personal preference really.

Do you have anything else you'd like to say about your Tournament Experience?
