Interview with Deadfun
How does it feel to win your first Meta Weekly?
It feels great finally winning a Meta Weekly after I have made it to the Finals three times before.
Why did you go with Thunder Dragons this weekly?
Because it's the deck I have been playing since Loading... came out: it's the best deck of all time baby. I think it has good matchups right now and can be played with different Skills.
How did the day go for you? Any notable matchups?
I played against 2 Gaia decks in Swiss and the matchup is much easier then people think it is. Not being able to use handtraps doesn't really matter, since they can't OTK and have to run into Destiny Draw if they wanna deal Direct Attack damage.
Would you like to explain any of your Deck choices?
I would probably change my Extra Deck and Side Deck a bit. I would take out Loading... , because without Level Duplication you very rarely make it and it often feels like a wasted spot. I would also change the Loading... s for more Loading... s. Loading... coming out will also be a nice addition to go into Loading... .
Do you have anything else you'd like to say about your Tournament Experience?
Thanks to the mods and Dkayed for organizing these tournaments. Keep up the great work!
Lastly, do you have any shout-outs you'd like to make?
Big thanks to my new Clan Vorpal Swords who supported me through my run, as well as Forever VS and Bricks and Potatoes. Good games to my boy trapdexter who lost against me again in Top Cut. And lastly, shoutout goes to the people saying I threw, but no misplays I made cost me any game. For you guys, throwing is if u lose a won match.
