Overview

In case you missed it, this week's Meta Weekly was the last tournament before the new balance update announcement. As such, we had an incredible uptick in the new kid from the KCC: Star Seraph Darklords. It should only be fitting that Star Seraph Darklords also takes the crown, with TPC alumn Snyffus at the helm.

Interview with Snyffus

How do does it feel to win another Meta Weekly?

It feels amazing! I didn't expect it at all, and it just feels surreal to actually do it again with Darklords, the same deck I won my first Meta Weekly with!

How did the day go for you? Any notable matchups?

I feel like Darklords are by far the best deck right now. The only match-up that really caused me trouble was the mirror match because a lot of RNG is involved with who draws the Star Seraph Combo and who goes first. Every other round I won 2-0.

I had 2 very memorable moments in Top 16 and Top 8, as I finished both these games with Loading... , that was very satisfying.

Would you like to explain any of your Deck choices? Would you make any changes?

I'm really happy with my decklist, the Main and Extra Deck are the exact same ones I used to get Top 10 this KC Cup, so I feel like they stood the consistency test.

Building a Side Deck is very difficult in Darklords because you can't side out a lot of cards or you'll hurt your consistency. I opted for Loading... as it can completely devastate the field of Water Xyz decks and then I could just grind through their backrow and without a field I was even able to ignore floodgates like Loading... .

Loading... was for Blue-Eyes and the Mirror Match, having it in my deck would guarantee that in a grind game I could remove one of their crucial combo pieces and win through that.

Lastly, Do you have any shout-outs you'd like to make?

It was an amazing experience. As always, thanks to the mods and Dkayed for their work.

Shoutouts to my clan Bricks and Potatoes, it was really fun to face my clanmate Deadfun in the finals. AndyTsang and Negative1 helped me with my decklist so thanks to them as well!

Also thank you if you actually read all of this
